What to pack for Las Vegas in July

July in Las Vegas is extreme. Afternoons regularly pass 105°F, nights barely drop below 80°F, and the dry desert heat is a different kind of hot from anywhere humid. Inside, the casinos, restaurants and theaters are air-conditioned to the point of feeling cold.

So the list is built for two climates: scorching outdoors and chilly indoors. Pack light, breathable pieces for the day, a layer for inside, pool clothes and something for going out. Clubs and some restaurants have dress codes, and they are enforced at the door.
