What to pack for India in November

November is the start of the best season for northern India. The monsoon is over, the heat has broken, and the days in Delhi, Agra and Jaipur are warm and sunny, while the mornings and evenings are cool enough for a light layer. It is also festival season, and the cities are busy and bright.

So the list is built from loose, breathable clothes that cover your shoulders and knees. Modest dress is respectful everywhere and required at temples, mosques and gurdwaras, where you will also remove your shoes and often cover your head. A large scarf and shoes that slip off easily will get used every day.
